Jazz a 4000 metros de alturaJazz 4000 Meters High "Bolivian jazz gained a foothold when pianist Johnny Gonzalez
recorded the album Jazz 4000 Meters High in 1976. Working with Fernando
Sanjines 13 (drums), Eddy Terrazas (bass), and
Eduardo Ortiz (who played native Andean instruments),
the music they created was a fusion that blended American jazz with haunting
indigenous flutes." This recording was recently re-mastered to a C.D. format by Discolandia, the biggest recording company in Bolivia, and is considered today one of the pillars of Bolivian Jazz.
